If you require information regarding an incident and the associated police report, that information is available through the Municipal Freedom Of Information And Privacy Protection Act. Under the same Act, it's not always possible to have all information in a report released to an individual.
Anyone can apply to have a police report released to them. Click on the "Access / Correction Request Form below, to download and/or print a copy of the form.
A completed form plus the initial fee of $5.00 would have to be received by the Gananoque Police Service in order for the process to begin. The initial fee MUST accompany the form as well as 2 pieces of identification. You can drop off the form, and all other requirements, at the Station in person. You can also mail the form to the station along with the $5.00 fee, and photocopies of two pieces of identification.
Once the required information is received by the Gananoque Police Service, you will receive a phone call from the Service regarding the request. At that time you will be advised of any issues that may arise and further information on the process. You will be advised the length of time that may be involved to process the request.
